Former Eagles and Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp nearly led the Eagles to an upset win over the Huskies on September 6th 2014. Kupp recorded eight receptions for 145 yards and three touchdowns against a Husky team led by future NFL prospects Udda Baker, Danny Shelton, and Marcus Peters. Despite being down 0-21 early in the game, the Eagles showed reselience , pure grity and as they rallied twice to take the lead before the Huskies pulled away for a 59-52 victory
JACOB EASON HOMECOMING DEBUT
The most recent matchup between the Huskies and Eagles was in August 2019. Husky quarterback Jacob Eason set a school record for passing yards in a Husky debut. The former Georgia Bulldog completed 27/36 passes and threw for 349 yards and four touchdowns as he led the 13th-ranked Huskies to a 47-14 win over the Eagles. The former Lake Stevens star had to sit out one year due to NCAA transfer reregulations
EAGLES LOOKING TO REBOUND FROM POOR PERFORMANCE
The Eagles are looking to rebound from last weeks lackluster effort against the University of South Dakota. The Coyotes scored 21 unanswered points between the second and third quarters for the 41-23 victory. The Eagles’ defense allowed 272 rushing yards, while the offense rushed for 125.

EAGLES PLAYER TO WATCH
Safety Bryce Smith has been on the rise as he begins his sophomore campaign at EWU. Smith recorded 14 total tackles in the Eagles’ season-opening loss to Northern Arizona Lumberjacks. The 14 tackles were one shy of his career high of 15. He also recorded 10 out of 13 solo tackles the previous week against the South Dakota Coyotes, as well as his first career interception.
The sophomore has 31 total tackles in the season.The opportunistic player has a knack for finding the ball due to his football IQ and physicallitity in both the run and pass defense
