Seattle Sounders FC will open their 2025 MLS season when they host Charlotte FC at Lumen Field ( 7:30 P.M.) on February 22nd. The MLS opener will be Seattle’s first home match of 2025 and is just three days after the clubs road game against Guatemalan side Antigua GFC in Guatemala on February 19th. The Antigua match is the first game of a two-game Concacaf Champions Cup tie. Game two is scheduled for February 26th at Lumen Field.
In addition to the MLS Regular season and the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup, the Sounders will also participate in the FIFA Club World Cup in June. Sounders fans will have ample opportunity to see their club in the upcoming year, which the club is calling” The Year to be Here.”
“Staying true to our commitment as an organization to listening to our fans, we’ve worked hard with every constituent to produce a schedule that provides a better fan experience. A variety of start times will accommodate families and avoid kickoff times that conflict with other events in our region,” said Sounders FC President of Business Operations Hugh Weber. “The 2025 season schedule presents new opportunities for fan engagement and exciting matchups to fuel the energy and passion of the best supporters in MLS. We can’t wait to see you all at Lumen Field.”
Sounders FC will resume league play on March 1st when they travel to Utah to face Real Salt Lake. They will then return home to host LAFC on March 8th. The Rave Green’s first Cascadia Cup match will be at Portland on May 17th. The final match between the two clubs will be a home match for the Sounders, which will close out the regular season on Saturday, October 4. Seattle travels to Vancouver on Sunday, June 8, at BC Place and then hosts Whitecaps FC on Saturday, September 27.
