Ken Walker III full practice participant during Seahawks Thursday practice

With Geno Smith on the mend from Sunday’s knee injury against the Green Bay Packers, the Seahawks received more good news, with Ken Walker III taking full reps during Thursday’s practice. Zach Charbonent started the last two games and ran for 188 two touchdowns on 30 carries . Like Walker Charbonnet missed Wednesdays practice due to an oblique injury.

Walker has missed the last two games due to a calf and thigh injury. Despite missing the last two games, Walkers still leads the team in rushing with 542 yards on 145 carries and has scored seven touchdowns. Charbonnet was a limited practice participant on Thursday. Best case scenario would be for both backs to be available against a Minnesota Vikings defense that is allowing 89.1 rushing yards a game. A healthy Walker would give a massive boost to the Seahawks run game against the stingy Vikings defense that is ranked number two against the run.

“I think Ken (Kenneth Walker III) in general is obviously a really explosive runner.  Anytime you have a guy like that and you’re working against a good defense and you’re working just to get cracks in daylight, having a guy like Ken is obviously advantageous,” said offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. “t’s just that the daylight doesn’t have to be quite as much and he can make things happen for you off-script.”
