Seattle Sounders forward Jordan Morris suffered a knee injury during Saturday’s English Championship League match between Swansea City and Huddersfield Town. Morris is on a loan spell with Swansea City until the end of the season with a club option to buy his rights. Saturday’s unfortunate injury occurred in the 66th minute after Morris entered the game at halftime.
REASON FOR CONCERN
Morris left the game on a stretcher and wore a knee brace on his left leg as he was being carried off the pitch.
Swansea coach Steve Cooper was non committal in his post game interview when asked to assess the severity of Morris injury.
Saturdays match was the fifth for Morris who joined Swansea City on January 22. Morris has started one game for Swansea City. Fellow USMNT teammate Paul Arriola also on loan with Swansea City sent Morris well wishes for speedy recovery.
HISTORY OF OVERCOMING INJURIES
There is added concern regarding Morris injury because he had a serious knee injury in 2018 during the Sounders CONCACAF Champions League match. Morris missed the season but returned in 2019 and earned MLS Comeback Player of the Year.
