The end of one journey began another journey for newly acquired DE Carlos Dunlap. The former two time DE Pro Bowler with the Cincinnati Bengals participated in his first practice with the Seahawks last Wednesday. The move to Seattle took over a week due to the NFL Covid-19 testing protocols.
TIME TO MOVE ON
After ten years in Cincinnati the two sides it was time to go separate ways. The Bengals changed their defensive scheme under head coach Zach Taylor and Dunlap II agreed it was time to move on.
The mutual parting of the ways between Dunlap and the Bengals is a big win for the Seahawks who are in need of a proven pass rusher. In his 10-plus season with the Bengals Dunlap recorded 82.5 sacks, 490 tackles, 20 forced fumbles, nine recoveries and 60 pass defensed. Dunlap has two career receptions which he returned for touchdowns. For Dunlap Seattle represents an opportunity to write the next chapter in his NFL career .
Dunlap is looking to help the Seahawks become a dominant defense and believes he has plenty of gas left in the tank.
Now that he has arrived in Seattle Dunlap is ready to show the team what he can do.
