POST GAME NOTES

Post-Game Notes
Washington vs. Illinois
Husky Stadium, Oct. 25, 2025
Husky running back Jonah Coleman entered the week as the nation’s leader in scoring (11.1
points per game), rushing touchdowns (12), and total touchdowns (13), and was second total
points (78). He added his 14th total touchdown late in the second quarter on a pass reception,
and then his 13th rushing and 15th total touchdown in the second half. Coleman is now tied for
10th in UW single-season history with 13 rushing TDs and needs one more total touchdown to
make that top 10. His 90 points scored is 18 shy of the UW single-season top-10 list.

Late in the second quarter, Husky wide receiver Denzel Boston threw a touchdown pass to
Coleman, on his first career pass attempt. The last UW touchdown pass by someone other than
a quarterback was from running back Dillon Johnson in the 2023 Pac-12 Championship Game
win over Oregon.
Boston also finished the day with 10 receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns. It was his
second 100-yard receiving day of the season (he had 107 at Washington State), and fourth of
his career (he had two in 2024: 121 vs. Northwestern; 125 at Rutgers). His receptions total (10)
set a career high (previous was 9 vs. USC last season), while his 153 yards were a new career
high.
Boston was the first Husky to throw and catch a touchdown pass in the same game since Dante
Pettis did it at California on Nov. 5, 2016.

Husky QB Demond Williams Jr. tied his own career high with four touchdown passes vs. Illinois.
He also had four at Washington State earlier this year, and vs. Louisville in the Sun Bowl last
season. Four passing TDs is tied for eighth-most in UW single-game history.
Washington’s win over No. 23-ranked (AP) Illinois was the Huskies’ first win over a ranked
opponent since last season’s win over No. 10 Michigan (Oct. 5, 2024). However, the three four
ranked losses since then came on the road to No. 13 Indiana, No. 6 Penn State and No. 1
Oregon last season, and home vs. No. 1 Ohio State in 2025.

The Huskies have won 24 of their last 25 home games.
While the Ilini did score eight points in the fourth quarter, Washington has still outscored
opponents 94-28 in the final period this season.
Today’s game marked the fourth time in eight games that UW has not had a turnover.
There were no quarterback sacks – by either team – in today’s game.
