“Oh man, that’s tough, that’s definitely tough. We started talking about that this morning. To see somebody that you know personally pass away so soon, there’s not much to say. It’s an unfortunate thing for him and his family, so I’m just praying for his family and people that were close to him, you know that God helps them through.”

Head coach Pete Carroll started his post-practice interview by acknowledging the difficulty of the loss and a feeling of helplessness.

It’s an unfortunate thing for him and his family, so I’m just praying for his family and people that were close to him, you know that God helps them through.”

We’ve all just been talking about it, sharing the suddenness of the impact of a loss like that,” Carroll said. “We’re just kind of helping each other out; we’re doing all right.”
