Tyler Lockett To Be Game Time Decision When Hawks Face the Chargers game

Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett has not practiced all week due to a hamstring injury leaving his participation in  Sunday’s game with the Chargers questionable. All said one should never count Lockett out. Lockett has missed two games in his Seahawks career.  In 2021  he missed the Week 15 game with LA Rams due to  Covid and in 2016 he suffered a  serious leg injury. That year Lockett broke his right fibula and tibia in week 16 against the  Arizona Cardinals and did not return until week 1 in 2017. During his Friday press conference head coach, Pete Carroll  made it sound like Lockett will play despite being a game-time decision

ANOTHER PRODUCTIVE SEASON

In 2021 Lockett had one of his best seasons as a Seahawk setting a career-high mark with 1,175  yards and becoming the seventh player in franchise history to record at least 1,000 receiving yards in a season. Lockett became the second player in franchise history to eclipse 1,000 receiving yards in three-consecutive seasons (Steve Largent, 1978-81, 1983-86). He finished the season with 73 receptions, fifth-most Seattle’s all-time receptions list. It marked the third-consecutive season of 70+ catches.

PICKING UP WHERE HE LEFT OFF

This season Lockett leads the team with 34 receptions and  423 yards. Lockett recorded his 17th career 100-yard game against the Saints and tied  Brian Blades for third place in Seattle’s all-time most 100-yard receiving games. If Lockett is unable to play the Seahawks will most likely look to Dee Eskridge to fill the void.  Eskridge has played in all six-game seasons and has recorded six receptions for 55 yards. His best performance to date was last week’s three receptions for 39 against the Arizona  Cardinals.
