After some shuffling, wheeling, and dealing the Seattle Seahawks 2021 roster was finalized for the moment Wednesday afternoon. Expect plenty of other roster moves in the coming days . The Hawks started their roster moves early Wednesday morning,.
The first surprise of the day was news of the Seahawks waiving 2091 4th round draft Phil Haynes and releasing quarterback Sean Mannion. The Seahawks claimed center Dakoda Shepley and cornerback Nigel Warrior.
The Luton acquisition is not yet finalized as the Seahawks have to reduce the roster by one to add Luton. During his weekly press conference, Carroll had glowing remarks regarding the team newest acquisitions
On Dakoda Shepley
“Really, really liked him at center. We were surprised he was available as we watched him. Our guys did a really good preseason evaluation on him. As it came down to last night, he was really one of our favorite guys. Shoot, if he didn’t show up for us. We were very fortunate to get him.”
On Nigel Warrior
“Really tough. He’s a physical, tough dude. He plays really hard. He played a lot of safety at Tennessee and you can see the mentality come out in his play. We love the guys that show that kind of energy with their play. We’re looking forward to seeing him join up with the guys.”
The Seahawk’s full-man roster is complete for the moment.
