Seahawks bring back Luke Wilson and Acquire John Reid

With just one preseason game left the Seattle Seahawks continued to shuffle their rosters. The team waived DB Pierre Desir and defensive end Alex Tchangam the Seahawks made the Luke Wilson official after the fan-favorite passed his physical.


 The Seahawks then traded for cornerback John Reid from the Houston Texans and gave up a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2023 draft. Reid fits in the Seahawks’ ongoing transformation of having smaller cornerbacks The  5’10 Reid appeared in 13 games and had one start for the Texans last year. Reid appeared in both of the Texas preseason games against the Packers  and  Cowboys

In the Texan’s preseason opener against the Packers, Reid participated in 22 defensive stats which were 24 % of the team’s total defensive snaps and 22 special teams snaps. In last week’s preseason game against the Cowboys Reid saw 18 defensive snaps which accounted for 24% of the team’s defensive snaps and eight special teams snaps.
