After releasing cornerback DeMarkus Acy and defensive tackle Myles Adams on Tuesday the Seahawks filled the vacant positions with the re-signing of TE Luke Willson and LB Ray-Ray Armstrong. Wilson is no stranger to the team or Seahawks Nation.
ALWAYS WELCOME TO COME BACK
This will be Willson’s third stint with the Seahawks. Willson spent his first five years with the Seahawks after being drafted in the 5th round ( 158th overall) of the 2013 draft. After a year with the Detroit Lions Willson re-signed with Seattle and stayed until his release earlier this year after five games. The Baltimore Ravens signed Willson but released him after three games opening the door for Willson’s return to the Seahawks.
SOLID PRACTICE SQUAD CONTRIBUTION
Armstrong was signed to the practice squad on October 21st then released on December 15th only to be re-signed two weeks later. The eight-year veteran was elevated to the game-day squad in Week 7 versus Arizona and Week 14 against the Jets. Armstrong entered the league in 2013 after signing with St. Louis as an undrafted free agent after the 2013 draft.
