Seahawks Rashaad Penny And Quinton Dunbar Expected To Play At Washington

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll delivered some good news to Seahawks Nation during his weekly press conference. Beaming from his team’s complete 40-3 victor over the New York Jets Carroll said the team is expecting the return of running back  Rashaad Penny and Cornerback Quinton Dunbar.

The two players would add competition to their respective units as the team seeks to secure a playoff birth this Sunday against Washington. Both players started practicing last week and the team is looking to unleash the duo without any limitations.

“Rashaad is going to practice as if he’s practicing to play the game, so we’ll see how that works out,” Carroll said. “We’ll figure it out by the end of the week, but he’s going with the mentality that he’s up and eligible and all of that, so we’ll see how that goes. Quinton is really in the same vein, he’s going to get ready to play in the game, and we’ll find out at the end of the week and call it when we get all the information.”

Dunbar will be a welcome addition to the defensive backfield after spending the last five games due to a knee injury. Before the injury, Dunbar had started four consecutive games recording 20 tackles. Penny has been on the Physically Unable to Perform ( PUP) list after injuring his knee in Week 14 against the LA Rams in 2019.

DE Carlos Dunlap will also be back in the lineup after sitting out last week due to a foot injury. Dunlap played with the injury in Week 13 and the coaching staff thought it was best to have him sit out last week’s game against the Jets.
