Seahawks Chris Carson, Ethan Pocic, and Shaquill Griffin Set to Return Monday Against Eagles.

Seahawks running back Chris Carson was off the Seahawks’ last public injury list paving his return to the Seahawk’s backfield against the Eagles on Monday Night. After a four and a half-game absence, the  Seahawks leading rusher is set to return on Prime Time.  Also set to return to the Seahawks line up are cornerback Shaquill Griffin and Center Ethan Pocic. The return of the trio brings the Seahawks that much close to have a completely healthy squad for the stretch run.

BANGED UP OFFENSIVE LINEMAN

The one notable injury concern for Monday’s primetime matchup with the Eagles will be the omission of tackle Brandon Shell who is out with an ankle injury. Shell is in his fifth year and first with the Seahawks after spending the first four with the New York Jets.  Shell started all ten games for the  Seahawks this year. Cedric Ogbuehi will step in for  Shell who suffered the injury during the Seahawks win over the Cardinals. The return of Pocic will bring stability to the offensive line despite the absence of  Shell.  Pocic started the first eight games of the season before he was sidelined with the concussion injury.

STABILITY IN THE BACK END

The return of Griffin will solidify the Seahawks defense backfield and enable Defensive Coordinator Ken Norton Jr to mix up coverages. Griffin  started the first six games of the season and recorded two interceptions in back to back games in the Cowboys and Dolphins games for the first time in his career. A concussion and hamstring injury saw Griffin miss the last five games.

A  healthy Griffin,  Tre Flowers( left cornerback), Quandre Diggs ( Free safety) and nickel back Ugo Amadi should be able to shut down the Eagles 28th ranked passing game.
