The Seahawks will play second consecutive road game Sunday whey take on the LA Rams at the newly build So FI Stadium. The $6 billion stadium is located in Inglewood California. Sundays contest will be no sightseeing excursion for the Seahawks who are limping into Sundays contest with the Rams
OFFENSIVE WOES
The Seahawks offense took a big hit this week when center Ethan Pocic who has started the first eight games. According to head coach, Pete Carrol Pocic suffered a concussion during last Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills but did not disclose the injury. Kyle Fuller will start at center in place of Pocic. The Seahawks claimed Fuller from the waiver wire after the Miami Dolphin left him go. Kyler last start at center in the NFL was week 16 in 2017 with the Miami Dolphins
OFFENSIVE BACKFIELD STILL UNDECIDED
The Seahawks running back unit took a step forward this week according to Carroll. Running backs Chris Carson and Carlos Hyde participated in running drills and will be game-time decisions.
Rookie DeeJay Dallas has started the last two games at running back. Travis Homer returned to action last week with mixed results. Homer had 6 rushes for 16 yards and three receptions for 64 yards. Dallas had seven rushed for 31 yards with one touchdown and two receptions for eight yards.
DEFENSIVE WOES
The Seahawks already stretched pass defense took another gut punch this week with Shaquill Griffin ( concussion/hamstring) and Quinton Dunbar ( knee ) both ruled out of Sunday’s game.
Griffin has sat out the last two games due to the concussion. Dunbar has started the three games..
Defensive lineman Bryan Mone’s absence due to an ankle injury opens the door for Damon “ snacks” Harrison. Sunday will be Harrison’s debut with the Seahawks. The former All-Pro and nine-year veteran started 15 games for the Detroit Lions last year.
“I am really excited to see him play,” Carroll said. “He’s been a unique player for a long time. He’s worked really hard to get ready to go. I’m really hoping he’ll have some success and have some fun playing football again … the style of play that he brings fits really well.”
Other injuries for the Seahawks according to head coach Pete Carroll included:
K.J. Wright ( ankle), Neiko Thorpe I hip) and Mike Lupati ( back). All three are expect to play on Sunday.
