Seahawks Russell Wilson ; “ It Takes Hard Work To Play QB In The NFL”

Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson spent a lot of his weekly media Zoom Conference answering questions about wide receiver Antonio Brown ,  Arizona quarterback Kyle Murrays growth and playing quarterback in the NFL.  A social media tweet  by ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks are positioned to make a push to sign Brown once his suspension is lifted at the end of Week 8.

A SECOND CHANCE

The tweet started an absolute firestorm that engulfed the majority of Wilson’s press conference.  The press bombarded Wilson with  questions on how Wilson could advocate for an individual with some egregious  violations of the NFL’s personal conduct policy. Wilson to his credit never wavered and answered each and every question.  In fairness to the media Wilson was open to the idea of a transformed Brown joining the team.

“I think Antonio definitely has taken those steps [in the right direction], and like I said, nobody’s perfect,” Wilson said Thursday. “From the conversations I’ve had with him, he’s really been remorseful, and he’s been humbled along the way. Like I said, I pray that he can continue to grow, just like anybody.”

Brown is serving an eight-game suspension  that was announced  in July because of multiple  violations of the league’s personal conduct policy. The NFL  is investigating a sexually assault  lawsuit filed by Brown’s former athletic trainer.

PLAYING QUARTERBACK IN NFL

Closer to home Wilson was asked about playing quarterback in the NFL. Specifically comparing his early years in the league to now his ninth .

Wilson growth from a third round draft in 2012  to the league MVP front runner brought up comparisons of Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray’s .

Murray was drafted number one  overall last year by the Cardinals and continues to make plays with his feet an arm.  In six games this season Murray has passed for 1,487 yards  10 touchdowns with just six interception and 370 rushing yards.

Wilson explained in detail the hard work and preparation needed to succeed playing quarterback in the NFL.
