The Seattle Sounders began preparing for their MLS Champion title defense Tuesday morning on a snow-covered field at Starfire Sports. The major reason for the ambitious goals is that the Sounders are returning the core of their team. The only absentees from the Sounders starting XI who took to the pitch against Toronto FC in last year’s title game are Defenders Kim Kee-Hee and Brad Smith. Returning starters are defenders Kelvin Leerdam, Xavier Arreaga, midfielders Gustav Svensson, Cristian Roldan, Joevin Jones, Nicolas Lodeiro and forwards Jordan Morris and Raul Ruidiaz.
