Seattle Bombers to hold tryouts for Semi Pro players

The city of Seattle has landed two new developmental football teams, the XFL Seattle Dragons, and NWFL Seattle Bombers. Just as the XFL team, the Seattle Bombers exist to train and develop high school, junior college, and NCAA players that are training to move up in their football careers. The Seattle Bombers team philosophy is to develop young athletes that will move on to play in the following professional football leagues: Arena, XFL, CFL and even the NFL.

Semi Pro football has been in the Pacific Northwest since 1891. The newest team to join the ranks are the Seattle Bombers, based out of Kent, Washington for the 2020 season. The Bombers will be playing their inaugural season at French Field also located in Kent, Washington.

Many current players that are playing professional football come from the Seattle area.  There is a NFL Hall of Fame player, Morris “Red” Badgro, that played in the 1930’s and lived in Kent until he passed away in 1998. “Red” was inducted to the NFL Hall of Fame in 1979. Morris played his high school years at Kent Meridian High School and spent most of his life developing football athletes as well as his beloved Kent community. In addition, Red also created a long-lasting connection with a member of the Seattle Bombers coaching staff.  Many current athletes in the NFL come from local areas like Auburn, Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue and other cities in the region.
