Seahawks facing offensive line woes as they head to Cleveland

The Seattle Seahawks are facing a mini injury crisis on the offensive line. The Friday injury report listed left tackle Duane Brown ( bicep) and right guard D.J. Fluker ( hamstring) as doubtful. Fluker played the first two series against the Rams and was admirably replaced by Jamarco Jones. Look for Jones to get the start on Sunday . Brown’s absence from the starting line up is worrisome because of the physicality and leadership he provides during the game .Guard Ethan Pocic was listed as out for the game due to a slow recovering back issue.

With a banged up offensive line head coach Pete Carroll is looking for center Justin Britt and quarterback Russell Wilson to be in synch when making and changing the blocking assignments during audible and check downs during the game.

DEFENSE HAS TO PLAY ITS PART

Offensive issues aside the Seahawks are looking for the defensive to have play its part in stopping a Cleveland team that has explosive players on offense. On Friday Carroll stressed the need for the defensive line to be disruptive and get to Cleveland quarterback Baker Mayfield and contain running back Nick Chubb who has already rushed for 485 yards.
