Last Friday nights season ending knee injury to left tackle Geroge Fant caused the obvious reaction for the Seattle Seahawks organization. The first was for the players well being, the second was about moving forward and getting ready for the Sept. 10th seasoner opener at Green Bay.
With the opener just twenty-four days away, the Seahawks are just south of panic mode, that is the team has just enough time to make a well thought out decision. Time will let us know the results of the so called well thought out decision. For the moment the Seahawks have inserted Reese Odhiambo into the starting left tackle position for Friday Night’s third preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. While Odhiambo will start Friday, there is no guarantee he will start against the Packers.
On Monday the Seahawks acquired Matt Tobin from the Philadelphia Eagles and the Eagles seventh-round pick in the 2018 draft. The Seahawks gave up their fifth round selection in the 2018 draft. Tobin is hoping to make a quick impact with the squad.
The Seahawks are scheduled to practice two more times before hosting the Chiefs at CenturyLink Field.
