In the latest UW recruiting roundup, the Huskies added four-star CB Jeron Jones to their 2026 DB class. Following news that Jones committed to UW, five-star DB/ATH Brandon Arrington announced his commitment to Texas A&M a day later. The Huskies were dark horses to land Arrington, but were lucky to be considered among his final schools. UW is also waiting on a decision from five-star DE Tristian Givens. Here is the latest from the Huskies’ recruiting trail.
Four-Star CB Jeron Jones commits to UW
CB Jeron Jones committed to UW on June 18th, picking the Huskies over Texas A&M, Cal, and Arizona State. He joins S Gavin Day, CB Elijah Durr, CB Ksani Jiles, and CB C.J. Lavender in the Huskies’ 2026 DB class. Jones has impressive coverage skills and a unique ability to make plays on the ball. In the past three seasons, Jones has 11 interceptions, five of which he returned for pick-sixes. His athleticism will certainly be an asset in the Huskies’ future secondary. Jones has showcased his speed in track and field while at Mission Viejo High School in California. His top run times were 11.19-100m, 22.74-200m, and 42.63 on a 4X100m team relay in 2024.
Five-Star ATH Brandon Arrington chooses A&M over UW
For the Huskies, receiving a visit from the top recruit in the state of California was an honor. Brandon Arrington ultimately decided to commit to Texas A&M. When Arrington came to UW, he teased that the Huskies were a landing spot following his visit to the school. After he visited UW on May 30th, Arrington said, “Don’t sleep on Washington in my recruiting process” on X. Though missing out on Arrington is a disappointment, the Huskies are fortunate that he chose Texas A&M over Oregon.
Huskies make Five-Star DE Givens’ final three schools
When the Huskies brought in DE Tristian Givens in for a visit on June 6th, the university left an impression on him. UW now has a rare chance to land a top-notch recruit from the state of Georgia on Monday, June 23rd. Listed as the state’s fourth-best recruit and third-best edge rusher overall, the Huskies have a golden opportunity here. Givens will decide between UW, Texas A&M, and Tennessee on the 247 Sports YouTube Channel this Monday.
