UW earns commitments from three recruits including WR Mason James

Following two big weekends of players visiting UW, a pair of athletes have made commitments to Washington. Dre Pollard and Sam Vyhlidal both announced their decisions to go to Washington on June 10th via social media. The Huskies also found out today that WR Mason James is committing to UW. He announced his decision to go to Washington on the 247 Sports YouTube channel. Here is a look at the Huskies’ latest recruiting commitments.

UW lands commitment from Three-Star ATH Dre Pollard

Dre Pollard decided to commit to the University of Washington after visiting the school on May 30th. Pollard has tremendous versatility as an athlete who can play defensive back, wide receiver, and running back. He is known for his speed and has the potential to develop into a starting tailback or corner. Pollard also comes to UW from the same high school as three-star offensive line commit Dominic Harris. Both Pollard and Harris played football at Ed W Clark High School in Las Vegas.

Three-Star ATH Sam Vyhlidal commits to Washington

UW received another commitment from an athlete who plays multiple positions. Sam Vyhlidal has the unique ability to play running back, tight end, and linebacker. Vyhlidal plays football for Mountainside High School in Beaverton, Oregon. He committed to UW shortly after visiting the school on June 6th. Vyhlidal also received offers from Arizona, Arizona State, UNLV, Colorado State, Fresno State, SDSU, and Air Force.

UW earns commitment from Four-Star WR Mason James

After picking up commitments from Sam Vyhlidal and Dre Pollard, the Huskies picked up a big commitment on Thursday. Earning a decision from four-star WR Mason James, who announced his intention to go to the University of Washington. James is currently rated as the number two recruit in Oklahoma and chose UW over his hometown school. He is an explosive slot receiver option who finished his junior season with 56 catches for 1,233 yards and 17 TDs. The Huskies had been looking to add a wide receiver to their 2026 class, and they found a good one in WR Mason James.
