The Huskies’ WR room will look different heading into 2025, with Jeremiah Hunter and Giles Jackson graduating. Giles Jackson led the Huskies with 85 receptions and 893 yards receiving in 2024. Jeremiah Hunter was third in total receiving yards with 490 last season. Also, wide receivers Keith Reynolds, Jason Robinson, and Camden Sirmon transferred out of the program after the 2024 season.
Fortunately, the Huskies still have one of their top receivers from 2024, Denzel Boston, returning in 2025. Last year, Boston recorded 63 catches for 834 yards which were second for Husky receivers. Boston will be at the top of Washington’s depth chart at WR1 when the season begins. There will be a battle for the Huskies’ other two wide receiver slots behind Boston.
Huskies’ likely WR2 in 2025
Transfer WR Omari Evans transferred to Washington from Penn State after the 2024 season. Last year at Penn State, Evans caught 21 passes for 415 yards and five touchdowns. When the Nittany Lions played Boise State in the Fiesta Bowl, Evans had two catches for 55 yards and a touchdown. Evans will provide a veteran presence and big game experience to a young Husky receiving corps. Expect Evans to be the Huskies’ WR2 when the season begins in 2025.
Two Husky sophomores in the mix for WR3
In 2024, WR Rashid Williams made the most of his redshirt freshman year at UW. Williams caught his first college touchdown pass last season and had 11 catches for 138 yards. Another sophomore wide receiver to pay attention to is Audric Harris, who had two catches for 17 yards in 2024. Williams and Harris will compete for the last wide receiver spot on the Huskies’ depth chart along with three talented freshmen.
Three freshmen wide receivers with potential
Freshman WR Raiden Vines-Bright showed what he could do during the Huskies’ Spring Game. In his breakout performance, he made an impressive touchdown catch for the highlight reels. Raiden Vine-Bright was not the only freshman who stood out at the Spring Game. Marcus Harris also made a nice touchdown catch on a pass from QB Dash Beierly. Another freshman receiver, Chris Lawson, had a solid spring, as he caught passes from QB Demond Williams and QB Kai Horton in practice. Each of these three freshman receivers has the opportunity to earn the WR3 position out of fall camp.
