Sounders FC finished the first part of their two-part preseason training in Marbella, Spain, and are now back at the Swedish Providence Performance Center for part two.
The team’s first training was on Monday. Held out of practice due to injuries were Albert Rusnâk and Reed Baker-Whiting. Rusnâk suffered a quad injury during the team’s friendly against Swedish side Hammarby IF in Marbella.
Head coach Brian Schmetzer is hoping the craft midfielder will be ready for the team’s opening match against Guatemalan side Antigua GFC in round one of the CONCACAF Champions Cup. Baker Whiting has been ruled out for the Champions Cup match due to a hamstring.
The Sounders will practice for two days, then play their last friendly of the preseason on Wednesday against UCL side Louisville City FC
