Sounders FC wraps up preseason with a pair of friendlies against Sacramento Republic FC

Seattle Sounders FC finished the preseason portion of the upcoming 2024 season.  The Rave Green split a pair of 90-minute friendless against  USL  Championship side  Sacramento Republic, losing 1-0 in the first game and winning 4-0 in the second.

The games were played in the team’s new training facility and for all intended purposes it was mission accomplished for the Sounders in the two games played and the preseason as a whole.

NEW PLAYERS CONTRIBUTE

 The Rave Green’s preseason started with the team in Marbella Spain from  January 26th to February 10th with the  Sounders coaching staff installing nuances to the offense in the hope of scoring more goals in the upcoming season.  The team played three preseason games vs   FK TSC 1-1 draw   IFK Norrkopin,3-0 win and a pair of losses, a 3-0 loss, and 2-1  to  Odense BK. The preseason friendlies served their purpose in the players learning each other, and getting into shape with no major injuries.

In the team’s 4-0 win over Pedro de la Vega, Raul Ruidia, John Bell ad Chris Aquino all scored. Rudiaz and de la Vega scoring added a nice finish touch to the preseason. If the team is going to attain it’s goal of winning trophies in 2024 the two strikers will need to score an abundance of goals
