Super Bowl LVII officially kicked off Monday Night at Allegiant Stadium with the annual media day for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers Fand gathered to hear and get a glimpse of some of their favorite players. Players and coaches showed up to fulfill their contractual obligations. Media members of all types gather to ask serious, funny, and sometimes bizarre questions. With cheerleaders from both teams and music blaring in between player interviews, Allegiant Stadium was filled with screaming fans cheering for their team.
COACHES STAY THE COURSE
Head coaches Andy Reid (Chiefs) and Kyler Shanahan ( 49ers ) played their part in answering serious, funny, and eyebrow-raising questions. As expected, the two coaches praised their players’ commitment, determination, and trust.
CHALLENGE AHEAD
For the coaches, the days leading up to Sunday’s big game will be about minimizing distractions and trying to follow a normal game week routine. To minimize distractions both teams are stay clear of the Vegas Strip. The Chiefs will stay at the Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa while the 49ers will reside at the Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort and Spa. Both teams will have curfews to ensure players stick to their normal routines.
A HISTORIC MOMENT
The chances of players getting involved in counterproductive behavior is slim to none. Players and coaches are aware of what’s at stake. An opportunity to make history by completing the work they started in early spring.
