SEATTLE, WASH. – Sounders FC today announced that it has acquired $350,000 in 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM) from LAFC in exchange for two 2024 International Roster Slots. The move brings Seattle’s number of 2024 International Roster Slots to four as the team continues its preparation for the 2024 season.
Sounders FC has one remaining 2024 International Roster Slot, with three current international players on the roster: Yeimar Gómez Andrade, Nathan and Braudílio Rodrigues.
Sounders FC finished the 2023 regular season second in the Western Conference with 53 points (14-9-11), advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals before falling 1-0 to LAFC. The club began preseason preparations this week for the 2024 season, which kicks off against LAFC on Saturday, February 24 at BMO Stadium (1:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, FOX, iHeartMedia Seattle, El Rey 1360 AM).
