Ken Walker III Named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

Seattle Seahawks running back Ken Walker III rushed for 97 on 18 carries and scored two touchdowns in the team’s 37-27 win over the Carolina Panthers. Teh Herculean effort earned Walker III the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. The Seahawks rushed for 146 yards in the win. Rookie Zach Charbonet did his part to contribute to the run game rushing for 46 yards on nine carries.

“Thrilled about that, the commitment to it. You could see our style from our two guys. Like I said, they’re much different, uniquely different, but man, they’ve both got explosions in them, ” said Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. “I’m really fired up about those two guys.”

This is Walker III’s first Player of the Week aboard and the first for the Seahawks this season. Last season teh Seahawks had five Player of the Week awards. Walker is just the third running back to win Offensive Player of the Week for Seattle. Rashad Penny won the award in 2021 and Shaun Alexander in Week Four of the 2001 season
