Seahawks add to 53 Man roster and final practice squad

The Seahawks made several roster changes Wednesday afternoon. Before finalizing the practice squad roster. Seattle claimed cornerback  Kyu Blu and linebacker Drake Thomas from the waiver wire.  Blu was waived by Baltimore Thomas by Las Vegas.  The team released linebacker John Rattigan and cornerback Artie Burns, to make room for Blu and Thomas . A few hours later Burns cleared waivers and was placed on the practice squad. Pete Carroll was about the two waiver wire pick-ups after Wednesday’s practice.

“(Kyu Blu) Kelly in particular, we saw him all through the process and I really liked what he looked like as a cover guy. He hits well and reminds me of another Stanford corner I’ve seen back in the day. Kind of long and is really in control, body-control-wise, and all of the stuff.

That was really cool. (Drake) Thomas, he’s a ballplayer. Really instinctive, really natural, and finds the football really well. He hits with everything he’s got. He’s not the biggest guy but brings everything he’s got and is a very effective special teams guy as well. He looks like an exciting guy to add to the mix in hopes that he can find his way into special teams right off the bat and then work his way from there.”

The Seahawks practice squad is as follows.
