Seahawks Training Camp Report, team re-signs Ben Burr-Kirven and offense wins the day

The biggest news for  Day Two of the Seahawks training camp happened before the start of practice. After a two-year absence from football, the Seahawks re-signed linebacker Ben Burr-Kirven.   The former UW linebacker and  2019 fifth-round draft spent the first two years as a special teams stalwart before suffering an ACL injury during a preseason game in 2021.

Burr-Kirven was placed on the injured reserve list for the 2021 season. He missed the 2022 season after being placed on the PUP list.   The team released him in March 2023 before his return on Thursday.

ON THE FIELD

As for on-the-field performances, the offense won the day.

Rookie wide receiver Jackson Smith Njigba continues to live up to his hype. Yes, it’s two days into training but one can’t help but notice his poise and worth ethics.
