On Tuesday, the Mariners announced their 2024 Cactus League Spring Training schedule, which will begin on Feb. 24 and conclude Mar. 26.
Even as the Mariners attempt to qualify for this season’s playoffs, the organization always has one eye on the future. In this respect, they have released their spring training schedule for next year:
The Mariners are part of the Cactus League, which is based in Arizona. They play their home games at the Peoria Sports Complex, which they share with the Padres and has a capacity of 12,339.
Seattle will play 33 spring training games in total, including 31 in Arizona. They will close out their schedule with two games in San Diego at Petco Park, on Mar. 25 and 26.
The home slate
The Mariners will host 15 official home games during spring training next year. (The Padres will be the designated home side for a pair of games on Mar. 3.) This will include one game each against three of their AL West rivals, the Athletics, Rangers and Angels.
Seattle will also host two games against both the Brewers and White Sox. The home schedule will be completed with games versus the Guardians, Royals, Giants, Padres, Diamondbacks, Rockies, Reds and Cubs.
The Mariners spring training schedule will start Feb. 24 and conclude on Mar. 26. Their first regular season game takes place at home on Mar. 28, against the Red Sox.
The schedule includes three split-squads, i.e. one home and one away game, on Mar. 5, 16 and 22. The Mariners will also have two off days, on Mar. 4 and 20.
