Seahawks begin Organized Team Activities

With most veterans and rookies on hand, the Seahawks began the first of nine organized team activities Monday. As expected with a Pete Carroll team there was excitement and a crispness to the practice.  Add a bit of nostalgia with the return of  Linebacker Bobby Wagner after a one-year stint with the Rams.   This will be Wagner’s 11th year with the Seahawks and 12th as an NFL Player.

PRACTICE NOTES

Before practice began the Seahawks announced the signing of rookie  Nose tackle Latrell Bumphus. The 6-foot 3 280-pounder is the six-nose tackle added by the Seahawks. Bumphus played for Tennessee appearing in 55 career games and starting 24 .  He recorded 66 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and three sacks , one forced fumble, two fumbles recovered and two pass defenses. After Monday’s practice the Seahawks announced the re-signing of veteran cornerback Artie Burns.
