Taj Davis made his mark in Purple and Gold with a game-tying 62-yard touchdown at Autzen Stadium last November.
After a strong battle this spring with returning receivers Giles Jackson, a senior, and sophomore Denzel Boston, along with newcomer Germie Bernard, a sophomore transfer from Michigan State, someone wasn’t going to get as much playing time this fall.
On Friday, Davis announced he will enter the transfer portal with two seasons of eligibility remaining.
The former three-star recruit out of Upland High School (Upland, Calif.) signed with UW in 2019 under former coach Chris Petersen.
In his three seasons at Washington the 6’2, 188-pound deep threat compiled 47 receptions and 606 yards to go along with four touchdown receptions.
Davis received 21 scholarship offers as a high school recruit and is expected to draw interest from several Pac-12 and Power Five schools once his name officially hits the portal.
