Seahawks Beat Rams 19-16 in OT Lions Upset Of Packers Sends Them To Playoffs

The first order of business for the day was to beat the Los Angeles Rams and hope that the Detroit Lions would upset the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field Sunday night. After some early offensive struggles, the Seahawks overcame a stubborn Rams hell-bent on ending their season.

POST GAME NOTES

Rookie running back Ken Walker III rushed for a third consecutive 100-yard game. Giants running back Saqueon Barkley was the last player to accomplish that feat in 2018. Wide receiver Tyler Lockett finished the game with four receptions 54 yards and one touchdown. The 36-yard TD reception put Lockett over 1,000 reception yards for the season. Lockett is now tied with Seahawks legend Steve Largent for most consecutive 1,000-yard streaks in a career. Largent had two different four-year 1,000 yards streaks.

UP NEXT THE 49ers

With the seventh seed designation, the Hawks will be hoping the third time is a charm when they take on the No. 2 NFC West Division Champions San Francisco 49ers Saturday afternoon (1:30 p.m.) This marks the 10th time the Seahawks have made the playoffs in 13 years under Pete Carroll and GM John Schneider.
