The move was expected but it still left one with a heavy heart. On Tuesday the Seahawks placed their defensive co-captain and leading tackler Jordyn Brooks on injured reserve. Brooks suffered an ACL injury in the team’s win over the New York Jets. Brooks ends the season with a team-high 161 tackles and was named a Pro Bow alternate is slated to have surgery.
Cody Barton took over the MIC linebacker position and the play-calling duties on Sunday and will continue that role when ironically enough, the Bobby Wagner-led Los Angeles Rams roll into town for Sunday’s last regular season game. Tanner Muse filled In for Barton at outside linebacker.
The Seahawks made several other rosters moves. Tight end Tyler Mabry was signed to the 53-man roster to add dept for the injured Will Dissly. Cornerback Chris Steel and receiver Coonor Wedington were added to the practice squad.
