Huskies Add 25 Signees On The First Day Of The Early Signing Period

Husky head coach Kalen DeBoer started his Wednesday’s early signing press conference with a big smile and a whimsical comment of it’s a lot more than last time “. Deboer was referencing last year’s class which had a total of 13 recruits.

DeBoer nearly doubled last year’s number with a group with a class that includes 18 high school seniors, a junior-college transfer, and six transfers from four-year college programs.

Washington’s new group covers nearly every position group and includes members from eight different states.

Wednesday was the first day of the NCAA’s early signing period for football. It ends on Friday, Dec. 3. The regular signing period runs from Feb. 1-April 1. Four-year college transfers may sign scholarship agreements at any time. Washington’s winter academic quarter gets underway Tuesday, Jan. 3.
