The Huskies used dominating performances from all three phases of their game to dispatch a Stanford team that has had a favorable history against the Dawgs. The Husky defense recorded 8 sacks against Cardinal quarterback Tanner McKee. The Purple Reign defense also scooped up three fumbles. Running back Wayne Taulapapa rushed for a career-high 120 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr continued his sizzling performance.
Penix Jr threw for 309 yards and second-half touchdowns of 30 yards to Rome Odunze and 21 yards to Giles Jackson on a screen pass. Odunze had eight catches for 161 yards, his first career game over 100 yards receiving.
