The Sounders held an open house for dignitaries, media, and of course Rave Green Nation. The club announced and showed off its future home starting in 2024. In partnership with Unico and the City of Renton, the Sounders will relocate all club operations to the Longacres complex. The state-of-the-art facility will include a minimum of four practice fields, spacious dressing rooms, an industrialized kitchen and an unparalleled training center.
Sounders FC also announced plans for March to the 50th, an opportunity for fans and players alike to connect with the club’s storied past while also looking ahead to the next 50 years of Sounders FC’s future.
Sounders FC Majority Owner Adrian Hanauer, Sounders FC General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey, Unico Properties Chief Investment Officer Ned Carner King County Executive Dow Constantine, and Mayor of Renton Armondo Pavone were all in attendance at the press conference.
