The Washington Huskies ( 3-4, 2-2 Pac- 12) offense erupted for 14 unanswered 4th quarter points and avoided what would have been an embarrassing defeat to the Arizona Wildcats( 0-7, 0-4) . The fourth quarter-point explosion saw the Huskies leave the desert with a 21-16 win over the Arizona Wildcats who are winless in over two years.
The Huskies had six first-half punts with one of those punt being blocked and recovered by Arizona on the Huskies’ 23-yard line. The Wildcats converted turned the turnover into a 3-0 lead after a 34-yard field goal by Tyler Loop. To say the Huskies’ offense struggled would be an understatement. The result of the Huskies struggles saw them enter the dressing with a 13-0 halftime deficit
SECOND HALF EXPLOSION
The halftime break seemed to have woken up the Huskies’ offense which had left many wondering if quarterback Sam Huard would return for more playing time. Huard led the offense during the Huskies’ second series of the game. The pending replacement whether real or imagined saw Husky quarterback Dylan Morris find his magic touch in the passing game after the Husky defense forced an Arizona three and out to start the second half.
Morris hit Terrell Bynum on a 16-yard touchdown pass to get the Dawgs on the scored and back in the game. The Morris to Bynum scoring play capped an impressive 8 play 81 yard and saw the Huskies deficit cut to just one score at 7-13. A 35-yard field goal by the Wildcat placekicker Tyler Loop saw the Wildcats increase their lead to 16-7.

GAME-CHANGING PLAY
With the home crowd cheering loudly Wildcats quarterback Will Plummer marched the Arizona offense to the Husky 29-yard line. . Sensing the game slipping away the Husky defense made a game-changing play. UW defensive lineman Tuli Letuligasenoa intercepted a Plummer screen pass and gave the ball back to the Husky offense at the Washington 29-yard line. An invigorated Husky offense wasted no time taking advantage of the gift by the defense.
It took the Huskies all of four plays to travel 82 yards in just 3:17 seconds. The drive-defining play was a 51-yard Morris to Bynum pass play that put the ball at the Wildcats 9yard line. The drive was completed when Cameron Davis hit pay dirt with a nifty 9-yard run that
gave life and swagger to the Husky offense and defense. Smelling blood, the Husky defense forced an Arizona three and out giving the ball back to the offense.
MORRIS COMPLETES COMEBACK
With the Wildcats defense on its heels, winded and looking long in the tooth the Husky offense went to the run game for the knockout punch. With the Arizona defense pushing up and trying to curtail the run, Morris found Bynum on another 51-yard pass play that put the Husky offense at the Arizona 17-yard line. Morris capped the drive with an eight-yard thunderbolt strike to Rome Odunze that saw the Huskies take the lead for good at 21-16 and avoid what could have been one of the worst losses in program history.
