Mondays training camp practice featured two defensive gems and continued competition battles with Sunday mock game at Lumen Field looming.

Linebacker Bobby Wagner was excused from practice due to a family emergency. Jamal Adams continued his non-holdout hold.  Adams is under contract  but not participating in practices as his representatives continue their negotiations with the Seahawks from office for a new deal.

Both sides are expected to agree on a deal that will make Adams one of the highest paid safeties in the NFL.  Guard Duane Brown  completed another day watching from the sidelines as did Gabe Jackson. Head coach Pete Carroll said  Jackson was held out just because.
