Seattle Kraken inaugural schedule unveiled

A day after filling up part of the roster with Expansion League Draft players the Kraken now know who, when and where they play in their inaugural season The NHL released the league schedule for the upcoming season.

The Seattle Kraken will begin their NHL journey with a five-game road trip, starting with the Vegas Golden Knights on Tue., Oct. 12. The team will then head to Nashville, Columbus, Philadelphia, and New Jersey.  
Climate Pledge Arena will host its first Kraken home game against division rivals, the Vancouver Canucks, on Sat., Oct. 23. 
Additional schedule highlights include: 

  • The Kraken will host two six-game homestands at Climate Pledge Arena, the first from Thu., Nov. 11 through Wed., Nov. 24 against Anaheim, Minnesota, Chicago, Colorado, Washington and Carolina. Later, the team will host Los Angeles, Chicago, San Jose, St. Louis, Florida and Nashville from Sat., Jan 15 through Tues., Jan 25.  
  • The team is scheduled to play 14 sets of back-to-back games this season, the first of which is on Mon., Oct. 18-19.  
  • The Kraken will play four teams consecutively—Boston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Calgary— on Tues., Feb 1 and Thur., Feb 24; Sat., March 26 and Mon., March 28; Wed., March 30 and Fri., April 1; and Sat. April 9 and Tue., April 12.  

The 82-game regular season is slated to end on Fri., April 29. Game start times and broadcast information will be released at a later date. Subject to national selections, all Kraken games, both home and away, will be broadcast on ROOT SPORTS. 
The Kraken’s preseason games will be played in Spokane, Everett and Kent on the following days: 

  • Sunday September 26, 2021 at 6:00 PM PT – Seattle Kraken vs. Vancouver Canucks @ Spokane [Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena] 
  • Friday October 1, 2021 at 7:00 PM PT – Seattle Kraken vs. Edmonton Oilers @ Everett [Angel of the Winds Arena] 
  • Saturday October 2, 2021 at 7:00 PM PT – Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames @ Kent [accesso ShoWare Center]
