GAME HIGHLIGHTS
- Up by just three at 75-72 with two minutes left, the Storm put up five-straight points by beating the shot clock buzzer twice: Jewell Loyd on a 3-pointer from the left corner at 1:48, then Sue Bird on a floater from the right side that banked off the board, making it 80-72 with just 43.4 seconds left.
- The game turned on a 15-3 run by the Storm which started with two free throws by Epiphanny Prince with two seconds left in the first quarter and ended on a Jordin Canada lay-up at the 6:28 mark of the second quarter. The run turned a 20-13 deficit into a 34-26 Seattle lead it would never give up.
- The Storm started the third quarter on a 15-2 run over the first 5:01 to stretch its five-point halftime lead to 18—its biggest lead of the game—at 59-41. Twelve of the 15 points came from three-pointers as the Storm connected on more from beyond the arc through the first five minutes of the second half (4) than in the entire first half (2).
