The long awaited 2021 NFL football schedule was released Wednesday. Leave it up to the NFL to be on pins and needles all day. Here is the Hawks schedule

NOTES REGARDING THE SEAHAWKS 2021 Schedule
The Seahawks schedule features five prime-time games, making it the ninth-consecutive season with four or more, and features three home prime-time games for the sixth-consecutive season. Seattle is a league-best 33-8-1 in prime-time and holds an 11-2 record on Monday Night Football since 2010. The Seahawks were 4-1 last year in prime-time games.
Following those first four games of the season, the Seahawks play their second-consecutive NFC West opponent and make their first of three consecutive appearances of the season in prime-time vs. the Rams (10/7) on Thursday Night Football. Following the long week, Seattle travels to Pittsburgh for Sunday Night Football before a home game vs. New Orleans (10/25) on Monday Night Football. The last time Seattle was scheduled for three-consecutive prime-time games was 2019, however, one of them was flexed out of Sunday Night Football.
The Seahawks get a welcome late-season bye in Week 9. The later the bye the more advantageous it is for teams. Players get an opportunity to heal nicks and bruises while coaches get a moment to evaluate team strategies. After the bye week, the Seahawks will alternate four away and home games. The last two will be in prime time. Washington Football Team (11/29) on Monday Night Football and the San Francisco (12/5) on Sunday Night Football.
Another welcome addition to the 2021 schedule is the addition of three preseason games for each. The preseason games enable coaches to evaluate talent in real game situations. Last year there were no preseason games. Head coach Pete Carroll has said all offseason he is going to open up competition battles in the preseason. Something according to Carroll he was not able to do last year.
