On August 30th, 2020 Tryon announced that he would forgo his remaining college eligibility and enter the draft. After a stellar 2019 season in which he started 12 of 13 games Tryon was named second-team All- Pac 12, earned a place on Phil Steele’s All-Pac 12 second team, and Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 honorable. The move to forgo his junior year was seen as a huge gamble by some scout. For Tyron, the extra time provided an opportunity for him to become leaner and stronger for the upcoming draft.
