Sounders FC and Portland Timbers play to 1-1 in preseason scrimmage

It was the friendliest of friendlies when Seattle Sounders FC and Cascadia Rivals Portland Timbers took part in a 11-11 scrimmage Tuesday afternoon at Starfire Sports. As one would expect the two side played to 1-1 draw.

he first session went a full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw, with Fredy Montero striking first for the Rave Green in the 62nd minute. Dairon Asprilla equalized for Portland in the 85th minute, 10 minutes after a line change for Seattle that saw a full squad of Tacoma Defiance and Sounders Academy players enter the match. The second session went 75 minutes and ended in a scoreless draw.
