Former Seahawks offensive lineman Chad Wheeler’s day in court will be Monday, February 1st. Wheeler is being charged with first-degree assault domestic violence for beating and strangling his girlfriend to unconsciousness at the couples Kent apartment on Friday night
In addition to the first-degree felony charge, Wheeler is also charged with unlawful imprisonment domestic violence, and resisting arrest. Wheeler was booked into the County Jail on Friday night and was out on Tuesday after posting a $400,000 bail. The charges were handed down on Wednesday afternoon by King County prosecutors.

Charging papers say it took three Kent police officers, using hand strikes and Tasers, to wrestle Wheeler into custody after breaking down the door to the apartment he shared with his girlfriend. She suffered a broken arm and a dislocated elbow that will require surgery, along with injuries to her face, eye, throat, and lungs, say the charges.
