Seahawks release Chad Wheeler amid felony domestic violence charges

Former Seahawks offensive lineman Chad Wheeler’s day in court will be Monday, February 1st. Wheeler is being charged with first-degree assault domestic violence for beating and strangling his girlfriend to unconsciousness at the couples Kent apartment on Friday night

In addition to the first-degree felony charge, Wheeler is also charged with unlawful imprisonment domestic violence, and resisting arrest. Wheeler was booked into the County Jail on Friday night and was out on Tuesday after posting a $400,000 bail. The charges were handed down on Wednesday afternoon by King County prosecutors.
