The University of Washington football program has paused all team-related football activities due to an increase in positive COVID-19 tests within the program. The announcement jeopardizes the status of Saturdays game between Washington and Oregon. An announcement regarding the status of the contest is expected sometime on Thursday.
The team cancelled Wednesdays practice to undergo additional polymerase chain reaction ( PCR) testing.
The Huskies opener at Cal on Nov 7th and the Nov 27th Apple Cup were both cancelled due to both teams experiencing Covid-19 issues.
