The bad thing about playing on Thursdays Night Football is the quick game day turnaround from Sunday to Thursday. The Seahawks were fortunate to pick up an extra day of practice because their next game is on Monday Night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
RETURN OF PROVEN AND TALENTED VETERANS
The extra days of rest will see the return of three players that are vital to the Seahawks run for the Divisional title and further. Running back Chris Carson , Cornerback Shaquill Griffin and Center Ethan Pocic returned to full practice Tuesday. Pocic missed the last two games due to a concussion. His absence saw rookie Damien Lewis step in without an prior experience of playing center. Carson injured his foot during the Seahawks loss at Arizona and saw the teams leading rusher miss the last four games. Griffin was also injured in the Seahawks loss to Arizona due to a concussion and hamstring ailments.
GREG OLSEN OUT COLBY PARKINSON IN
Carroll confirmed during Tuesdays press conference that TE Greg Olsen’s injury return timeline will is 4-6 weeks. Olsen was place on Injured reserve Monday after injuring his foot in the second half of the Seahawks Thursday night win over Arizona. Rookie Colby Parkinson is next man up and the Seahawks coaching staff have no reservations about inserting him on the tight end rotation.
