Sounders FC will look to finish off CD Olimpia Thursday Night move into the quarterfinal round of the ScotiaBank COCNCAF Champions League Tournament and continue the celebration with a crown defending win over the Chicago Fire Sunday afternoon.
If it sounds like a plate full it is and do not feel sorry for the Rave Green players and staff. It’s what they signed up when wanted to be known as one of the biggest clubs in CONCACAF and the World of Soccer.

The Sounders were able to secure two vital away goals in the teams 2-2 Leg One match at Hounduras last Thursday. The Sounders will advance if they play to draws of 0-0, or 1-1, a 2-2 draw would force an extra period . The eassit path would be for the Sounders to win the game.
GAME NOTES
This marks Seattle’s sixth appearance in the tournament, which crowns the best team from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. Sounders FC has advanced to at least the Quarterfinals in four of its previous five appearances, highlighted by a run to the Semifinals in 2012-2013.
The Rave Green most recently played in the 2018 tournament, falling to eventual champion Chivas de Guadalajara in the Quarterfinals. The Rave Green previously faced CD Olimpia in the Group Stage of the 2015-2016 tournament, winning 2-1 at home before falling 1-0 on the road.
FESTIVE CELEBRATIONS
On Sunday, Sounders FC will kick off its 2020 MLS campaign at 12:00 p.m. PT in a nationally televised game on ESPN that has the Rave Green taking on Chicago Fire FC. The match is a special Championship Celebration, presented by Delta, that features a variety of special elements, and fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy all the festivities.
CenturyLink Field’s North Plaza is opening at 10:00 a.m. PT, a half-hour ahead of general gates at 10:30 a.m. PT, in order to showcase the Champions Lounge, presented by Delta, a championship-themed space for fans to gather to relive memories from the 2019 MLS Cup. Special guests like General Manager & President of Soccer Garth Lagerwey, Sporting Director & Vice President of Soccer Chris Henderson, Owner Adrian Hanauer and more will be on-hand to mingle with fans in the unique atmosphere while a big screen and surround sound help bring to life the biggest moments of the MLS Cup Final. Inside the Champions Lounge, fans have the opportunity to share MLS cup stories with team Brand Ambassador and former Sounder Brad Evans in a specially created StoryLAB studio. Select stories will be turned into video content to showcase the incredible Sounders FC fan and supporter culture.
