Sounders FC Captain Nicolas Lodeiro missed the teams Tuesday practice session and will miss the squads closed door scrimmage against the Sacramento Republic on Wednesday to have treatment for tendinitis issues. Where exactly the tendinitis issues are was not revealed by the Head Coach Brian Schmetzer who also announced that the treatment was being done in Uruguay and that the Rave Green Captain would join the team in Mexico. The Sounders will be in Phase Two of it’s preseason workouts in preparation to face Honduran side Club Olimpia on Feb. 20 in the Group Sixteen Stage of the CONCACAF Champions League Tournament.

Since joining the Sounders in 2016 Lodeiro has appeared in 118 of 133 matches. Of the 15 games he has missed only four have been injury related. Lodeiro missed two games last season due to lower back injury. In 2018 Lodeiro missed two games due to foot injuries.
