The Seattle Seahawks ( 5-2) completed there last practice friday afternoon before hitting the road to face the 1-6 Atlanta Falcons. All week there has been a mode of cautious optimism in facing a good team that has not performed to expectations. The Seahawks are looking to get back to their winning ways after last Sunday’s disappointing home loss to the Baltimore Ravens
NEW ADDITION
A rash of injuries at the safety position and a golden opportunity enabled the Seahawks to sign former Detroit safety Quandre Diggs to bolster the defensive backfield. Unfortunately for the Seahawks Diggs is nursing a hamstring injury that saw him miss two games with Detroit this year and won’t play in the Falcons game. Delano Hill is out ( elbow ) and Bradley McDougald made a surprise return from backspams that had him last weeks game against the Ravens. Rookie Marquis Blair started at Strong Safety and played well according to head coach Pete Carroll.
PETE CARROLL QUOTE
FRONT LINE CONCERNS
Another position of concern for Carroll is the offensive line. Both starting tackles, Duane Brown (bicep) and Germain Ifedi ( knee) were listed on fridays preliminary report questionable but the news according to Carroll was good for Ifedi , Brown and D.J. Fluker
DEFENSIVE LINE
The news regarding the defensive line was the best yet according Carroll. Ziggy Ansah is a go for Sunday and rookie L.J Collier has continued his upward projectry in practice and as a result will see some playing on Sunday.
